I was brought in this project by Campographic a fellow artist. Aisha Kieta the owner of Dime and Penny, which is a thrift store/bargain marketplace acquired the abandoned building as an opportunity to start her business. I decided to take part in the project because that building used to be Island Foods a Caribbean market that my mom used to go to. After it got shut down the building became dilapidated and a cite where frequent drug trafficking would happen. This was an opportunity to make something beautiful.
